Sales Representative/Estimator – Construction Services

ASRE, LLC is on the lookout for a dedicated individual to enhance our dynamic sales and design team. In this role, you will engage with homeowners directly on-site, collaborating closely with our design experts and construction teams to deliver exceptional residential projects. You will operate under the guidance of the Sales Manager, utilizing your judgment to prioritize tasks while also exercising a degree of creativity. This position also offers the chance to foster new connections within our commercial hardscape and snow and ice services. Comprehensive training and job shadowing will be provided until you feel fully equipped in your role.

Key Qualifications

  • A confident and persuasive personality with a keen attention to detail, thriving in challenging environments.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience and/or training, including sales or technical product knowledge; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • A proven track record of success demonstrated through results and achievements.
  • The capability to devise business strategies that present opportunities and solutions to potential clients.
  • Compliance with company requirements regarding motor vehicle records.

Primary Responsibilities of the Construction Sales/Estimator Role:

  • Conduct on-site meetings with clients to discuss project details and gather necessary information.
  • Analyze site visit notes, images, or drawings to assess labor and material requirements for project completion.
  • Prepare cost estimates based on the identified labor and material needs, along with the type of proposal.
  • Review and refine cost estimates with management before presenting them to clients.
  • Ensure that estimates are completed promptly, adhering to client expectations.
  • Oversee bid pricing from all vendors involved in the bidding process.
  • Maintain communication with clients throughout the estimating phase via phone, email, or in-person meetings.
  • Follow up with clients to gather feedback on the provided estimates through various communication channels.
  • Coordinate with trade partners and team members regarding ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Draft detailed purchase orders for all confirmed projects.
  • Establish and nurture working relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with production or project managers on the scope of work and material deliveries.
  • Act as a liaison between field teams and vendors, as well as between field teams and clients.
  • Update clients on the status of their projects once work commences.

Essential Requirements for the Construction Sales/Estimator Position:

  • Prior experience in construction sales or estimation.
  • A minimum of 10 years of field experience or comprehensive knowledge of construction practices.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Excel and CRM tools like QBO and LMN.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to interpret architectural plans and generate cost estimates.
  • Commitment to achieving 100% client satisfaction.
