Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Logistics Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the flow of production and distribution of goods by efficiently sourcing and delivering necessary materials to workstations from inventory. This role involves organizing materials and preparing production orders based on the operational schedule. The coordinator will also inspect and manage the delivery of incoming raw materials and supplies, as well as organize and dispatch finished products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages inventory by identifying, labeling, and storing materials and supplies in designated locations based on their type.
  • Identifies and retrieves materials and supplies by verifying items listed on pick lists for production departments and outgoing shipments.
  • Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes to transport raw materials, components, and shipments as required.
  • Maintains in-process inventory at workstations by delivering and unpacking materials and supplies.
  • Records the disposition of materials and supplies by documenting units delivered and their storage locations.
  • Handles return materials and supplies from production by verifying items, part numbers, locations, and quantities; restocking items as necessary.
  • Reviews Capacity Resource Planning (CRP) and generates work orders based on production timelines.
  • Assists manufacturing teams with material handling needs as they arise.
  • Creates comprehensive packing lists for outgoing equipment projects and their associated items.
  • Documents product shipments by recording shipped units and including photographic evidence of the shipments.
  • Maintains material-handling equipment by conducting pre-use inspections and performing minor repairs.
  • Contributes to team success by achieving related objectives as required.

SUPERVISORY ROLE

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role is primarily conducted in a warehouse environment, with potential outdoor exposure during work hours. The position routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, as well as warehouse tools including hand trucks, forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, box cutters, and tape dispensers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands for handling or feeling; reach with hands and arms; and communicate verbally. The employee frequently stands, walks, and may stoop, kneel, or crouch. Occasionally, the employee may sit and climb or balance. The role requires the ability to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects exceeding 100 pounds with mechanical assistance. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a full-time position eligible for benefits. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, unless otherwise required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

No travel is anticipated for this position.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Current forklift certification and overhead crane training are required.
  • Experience in data analysis, deadline management, and understanding of inventory control and data entry, along with basic rigging knowledge, is essential.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment; experience with material handling equipment is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in IFS manufacturing module is advantageous.

PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS
