Senior Remediation Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Remediation Project Engineer to join our team at EnSafe. As a key member of our environmental consulting and engineering firm, you will be responsible for leading and managing a wide range of projects related to site investigations, regulatory compliance, and remediation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and lead pilot studies and field testing for various contaminants
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets
  • Manage O&M of remedial systems, operational data collection, and troubleshooting
  • Review data compilation, database management, statistical evaluation, and modeling
  • Prepare remediation feasibility studies, remedial action plans, and cost estimates
  • Lead and support environmental inspections at client facilities
Managerial/Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members, clients, stakeholders, and external partners
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level staff
  • Manage financial reporting and forecasting, providing accurate and timely updates to senior management
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives based on project outcomes and feedback
Marketing and Business Development Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
  • Coordinate with the CA Senior Leadership Team
  • Develop and execute a business development plan to grow business in the Northern CA Region of the U.S.
  • Represent EnSafe at local, state, and national professional conferences
  • Lead technical proposal efforts
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental engineering or geology
  • Between 15 and 25 years of experience
  • CA P.E. or P.G.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
  • Experience in design and implementation of remediation technologies
  • Understanding of groundwater/lithology characteristics/logging, hydraulics
  • Knowledgeable in various 3D models
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and communication skills
  • Experience with task/project management and proposals
  • Valid driver's license to operate a vehicle in the U.S.
  • Regional travel up to 20% on an annual basis
