Job Responsibilities
  • Delivering nursing care to residents in post-acute care settings
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, and reporting findings to supervisors
  • Observing residents' conditions during shifts and communicating any concerns to the nursing team
  • Assisting with meal service and providing support to residents during meals
  • Helping residents with daily living activities (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, mobility, and toileting
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in residents' rooms and common areas
  • Facilitating communication between medical staff and residents, as well as with visitors
  • Assisting with the movement of residents in and out of beds and wheelchairs
  • Providing companionship and emotional support to residents
Qualifications and Skills
  • Current certification as a Patient Care Assistant
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and basic nursing procedures
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities with both medical professionals and residents
