We are looking for Human Factors Scientists to enhance our Practice. In this role, you will collaborate with a team to evaluate human performance across various scenarios, including automotive safety, workplace environments, and consumer product usability. Your work will focus on analyzing past incidents and implementing safety measures to mitigate future risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing a variety of consulting projects that encompass usability assessments, study design, and the analysis of human factors in incidents and their prevention, taking into account the limitations of human perception, cognition, and response.
  • Establishing and nurturing client relationships.
  • Engaging in interdisciplinary projects, offering case management, data analysis, and additional project support.
  • Conducting thorough research to gather and evaluate technical data, scientific literature, and relevant standards.
  • Contributing to the design and assessment of safety warnings and informational materials.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, including budget oversight, deadline management, team coordination, and providing support to team members.
  • Clearly communicating complex analyses to audiences without technical backgrounds.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Neuroscience, Vision Science, Developmental, Experimental, Industrial, or Cognitive Psychology, or a related field.
  • This position is office-based, and candidates must be willing to relocate if necessary.
  • Proven track record in designing behavioral studies utilizing diverse human subjects and research methodologies (e.g., surveys, experimental designs, case studies).
  • Experience in leading scientific studies from inception to conclusion, including result dissemination.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining accuracy under pressure.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages (such as SPSS, Matlab, Python, or R).
