Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers
  • Review project specifications to determine scope of work and estimate costs
  • Prepare detailed estimates, including quantity takeoffs and pricing
  • Manage and maintain accurate information on prices from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Participate in bid review meetings and proposals, ensuring compliance with company standards
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractor bids and activities
  • Provide clear and concise summaries of project progress and estimates at various stages
  • Perform other related functions as needed to support the construction process

Requirements:

  • Adhere to confidentiality protocols and maintain the highest level of professionalism
  • Proven knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in various software tools and technologies relevant to the construction industry
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field
  • LEED AP certification is a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on commercial projects

Physical Demands:

  • Visual acuity and ability to sit at a desk for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
