Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Specialist to join our team at J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. in Kennewick, WA. As an IT Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our IT systems, providing technical assistance to employees, and ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for employees, including desktop, laptop, and mobile device issues.
  • Maintain and upgrade IT systems, including hardware, software, and networks.
  • Install and configure new hardware and software, and ensure compatibility with existing systems.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to improve system efficiency and performance.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of IT systems with business operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our IT systems.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintain accurate records of technical activities.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in IT support or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of computer systems, including hardware, software, and networks, as well as Windows and Apple operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Active Directory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with VOIP, routers, switches, and wireless networks.
  • Knowledge of software installation and troubleshooting, including Microsoft Client Operating Systems and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with helpdesk software and hardware, including desktop, laptop, and mobile device troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of RAID technologies, virtualization, and security certifications.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly wage, $23.00 - $30.00, determined by experience.
