Job Title: In-Home Child Development Specialist

Job Summary:

Littlest Playmates LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Development Specialist to join our team. As an In-Home Child Development Specialist, you will provide play-based early intervention activities in home and community settings, collaborating with families to design activities that support their child's development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 play-based early intervention activities in home and community settings
  • Collaborate with families to design play activities that support their child's development, based on Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP)
  • Work with children from birth to age 3, who come from diverse cultural backgrounds and experience developmental delays or disabilities
  • Conduct developmental assessments using the HELP Strand Assessment tool every 3 months
  • Serve clients located within a specific area, with client homes typically less than 1-2 miles apart

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or within 3 months of completion) in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field (e.g., Psychology, Sociology)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young children (0-3 years) in home, community, or classroom settings
  • Familiarity with developmental milestones for children birth to 3 years old
  • CPR certification required
  • Clear criminal background check (Department of Justice/FBI)
  • Valid California driver's license, reliable automobile, and current auto insurance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Apple software
  • Bilingual fluency in Korean, Russian, French, or Armenian is a plus

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate: $25.00-$32.50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
  • Mileage reimbursement and car allowance
  • Pay for report writing and administrative time
  • Full-time employees (30+ hours per week) eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits after 3 full months
