Job Overview

Position Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to work in our infant/toddler room. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to early childhood education and a thorough understanding of the developmental stages of toddlers. This position requires the creation of a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that fosters the growth and development of each child while collaborating with families to support a holistic approach to learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Leadership: Design and execute developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that encourage toddlers' physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Child Interaction: Cultivate a warm and supportive environment where toddlers feel secure and motivated to explore and learn.
  • Behavioral Guidance: Direct and manage behavior positively and constructively, promoting social skills, empathy, and respect among peers.
  • Family Communication: Maintain transparent and effective communication with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on children's development and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Safety and Oversight: Ensure a safe and hygienic classroom setting, adhering to health and safety standards. Supervise children consistently and respond swiftly to any emergencies.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborate closely with fellow educators and staff to foster a cohesive and supportive team environment. Engage in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of each child's progress, behavior, and milestones, utilizing this information to customize educational strategies to meet individual needs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: CDE 12 Units
  • Experience: Previous experience working with toddlers in an educational setting is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Comprehensive understanding of early childhood development, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans.
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Personal Qualities: Patient, nurturing, and energetic with a genuine enthusiasm for working with young children.
