Laboratory Research Assistant

Frontage Laboratories is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to perform a variety of laboratory procedures as required by the study protocol. The successful candidate will assist the Laboratory Manager, Principal Investigator, Clinical Research Coordinators, and other medical professionals in the preparation and handling of specimens, analyzing results, and maintaining laboratory equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory procedures, including preparation for admission testing, safety labs, and processing of biological specimen samples, shipment of samples, and documentation of sample processing steps.
- Develop a high level of familiarity and knowledge of the study protocol and flow chart of study procedures.
- Prepare sample tubes and labels for the collection of biological specimens, process, and package biological specimens for shipment.
- Monitor freezers and refrigerators through the REES temperature monitoring system and respond to alerts to protect samples.
- Evaluate and review laboratory study data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
- Associate or BS in biology, chemistry, or related area, or completion and certification of Lab Technician course from an accredited or allied health training school.
- 1 year of experience in clinical research or related medical field.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and laboratory equipment operation.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent organization and planning skills.
