Job Title: Operations & Policy Analyst 2

Job Summary:

The State of Oregon is seeking a highly skilled Operations & Policy Analyst 2 to join our team. As a key member of our Commission for the Blind, you will play a critical role in monitoring federal and state legislation, providing information to management, and compiling reports for various purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor federal and state legislation for changes to the rehabilitation program and provide information to management.
  • Compile reports of data for various purposes, including federal and state reporting requirements, training needs, and consultation to agency staff.
  • Perform as a consultant to field staff regarding services and resources for individuals being served in the vocational rehabilitation and independent living programs.
  • Run project management to support various agency programs and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science, or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills.
  • Two years of professional-level evaluative, analytical, and planning work experience.
  • Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with data management, Excel, Outlook, developing forms, and similar applications.
  • Preparing, facilitating, and presenting trainings to individuals or groups of professional staff.
  • Demonstrated experience with policy development, implementation, and interpretation, program compliance, or related work.
  • Strategic and critical thinker with the ability to collect, organize, and evaluate information to produce recommendations for action.
