Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer telephones, route calls, take messages, and provide routine information to callers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Greet customers, visitors, and/or patients and provide direction, ascertaining the nature of their business and assisting them to various locations on the campus when appropriate.
  • Respond to requests, inquiries, and concerns in a timely manner, finding the appropriate person to assist if necessary.
  • Check in members and guests, distribute keys, towels, and other equipment as needed, and receive payment and ring into the register.
  • Review the staff notes book daily to stay informed of changes in classes, programs, leagues, and special activities scheduled for the day, and post changes in the schedule.
  • Be knowledgeable of staff members' names and the departments they work in.
  • Use the established sign-up system to reserve racquetball, squash, and tennis times for members, guests, and staff.
  • Manage program enrollment and money transactions, such as guest fees, personal fitness trainer fees, membership dues, and tennis lesson fees, and place monies in the appropriate accounts.
  • Cooperate in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the front desk.
  • Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards, work towards achieving goals and objectives, and participate in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • No prior experience required, but a combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill, and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job.
