Position Summary:

The Pre-Owned Automotive Technician plays a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining pre-owned vehicles. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional technical abilities, attention to detail, and a dedication to ensuring that each vehicle meets our stringent quality standards prior to delivery to customers.

Key Duties:

  • Perform comprehensive inspections of pre-owned vehicles to detect mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Utilize specialized diagnostic equipment to conduct tests and ascertain the root causes of problems.
  • Execute repairs and maintenance tasks, including work on engines, transmissions, suspensions, and electrical systems.
  • Document all services rendered and relay findings and recommendations to the Service Advisor or customer.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Keep abreast of the latest advancements in automotive technology and repair methodologies through continuous training and professional development.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; formal automotive training or certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as an automotive technician, particularly with pre-owned vehicles.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities, with proficiency in utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
  • ASE certification(s) or other relevant automotive credentials are advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
