Job Responsibilities and QualificationsRole Overview: As an Emergency Medical Technician, you will deliver critical life-saving care, manage advanced airway procedures, and oversee patient transport. You will also be responsible for the upkeep and operation of emergency vehicles.
Qualifications Required:- Education: EMS Certificate from a Community College or an Associate of Science in EMS. Ongoing education or re-certification as mandated by NC OEMS is required.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in EMS from North Carolina.
- Licensure: EMT-P certification and a valid North Carolina driver's license. Must meet insurance criteria and obtain ITLS or PHTLS, BCLS, ACLS, PALS, or PEPP within the first year of employment.
- Experience: No prior experience required; however, one year of full-time active pre-hospital care is preferred.
