Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neurocritical Care team. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients in the Neuro ICU, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care, including history and physicals, bedside procedures, and daily progress notes
- Collaborate with the Neurocritical Care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal Nurse Practitioner training program or a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate program
- Current certification from a nationally approved APRN certification body or NCCPA
- Minimum 3 years of experience in critical care or neurocritical care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Neurocritical Care APP experience
- Experience working in a critical care setting for a minimum of 3 years
- Current ACLS, ENLS, NIHSS certifications
