Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neurocritical Care team. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in our Neuro ICU.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including history and physicals, bedside procedures, and daily progress notes
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care discussions
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients and families to ensure high-quality care and excellent patient satisfaction
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal Nurse Practitioner training program or a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate program
- Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in accordance with MN Statute and in compliance with the MN Board of Nursing regulations or as a Physician Assistant (PA) in accordance with MN Statute 147.09A and in compliance with the MN Board of Medical Practice regulation
- Certification from a nationally approved APRN certification body relevant to area of clinical practice or certification by the National Commission for the Certification of PAs (NCCPA)
- Neurocritical Care APP experience
- Experience working in a critical care setting for a minimum of 3 years
- Current ACLS, ENLS, NIHSS certifications
