Psychiatrist (Per Diem) - State of Connecticut

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist (Per Diem) to join our team at the State of Connecticut, Department of Developmental Services. As a Psychiatrist (Per Diem), you will be responsible for providing psychiatric care to individuals in need, working in a collaborative team environment, and making a positive impact on the lives of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat individuals with psychiatric disorders
- Conduct intellectual and physical evaluations of individuals
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and/or occupational, physical, psychological or industrial therapy
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- License to practice medicine and surgery issued by the Connecticut Department of Public Health
- Completion of at least one year of residency program experience in psychiatry approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
