Job Summary

Nidec is a global leader in electric motors and drives, and we're looking for a talented Director of Human Resources to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that drive business results and support our company's mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on human capital management and organizational development initiatives.
  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract, hire, and retain top talent.
  • Oversee employee and labor relations activities, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling.
  • Develop and implement learning and development programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance.
  • Lead initiatives to foster employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and an engaging workplace culture.
  • Build and lead a high-performing HR team.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in human resources leadership roles, preferably in industrial manufacturing.
  • Thorough knowledge of HR and Labor principles, practices, and employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior business unit leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in HR software applications; preference to WorkDay.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in all HR and Labor matters.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR or equivalent HR certification preferred.
