As a full-time Early Career Industrial Engineer, you will be based in a dynamic environment where your contributions will directly impact our production systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize advanced Industrial Engineering principles to assess and enhance business workflows, aiming to minimize inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with facilities engineers to assist in the strategic planning of new manufacturing facilities.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineers in establishing benchmarks and evaluating shop performance against established objectives.
  • Create simulations of production processes for upcoming programs and conduct analyses to identify resource limitations, workflow, layout designs, and scheduling to meet delivery goals.
  • Analyze data systems to uncover issues and promote enhancements.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, ensuring effective implementation and sustainability while demonstrating measurable outcomes.
  • Provide occasional support during weekends or off-hours as necessary to uphold production schedules.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a background in project management and experience in Manufacturing, Quality, or Logistics sectors. A Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution is required. U.S. citizenship is mandatory for this role, as it necessitates a government security clearance.

Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with industrial engineering methodologies and practices.
  • Proven capability to maintain a high-performing team and effectively manage conflicts.
  • Experience with software tools such as SAP, Apriso, VECAMS, Tableau, Simio, or other simulation applications.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly in interactions with Production Operations and Program Offices.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments efficiently.
  • Experience in production environments and/or new production program initiatives.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing simulations and the development, monitoring, and reporting of metrics related to cost and schedule performance.
  • Capability to create impactful PowerPoint presentations and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
Security Clearance Requirement:

This position requires a government security clearance, and U.S. citizenship is essential for consideration.

Work Environment:

This role is performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility, with various work schedule options available to provide flexibility to our employees.
