Job SummaryThe Sales Representative is a key role in our organization, responsible for managing HVAC residential and contractor sales, including support products, for one of our established wholesale HVAC distributorships. The ultimate goal of this role is to develop client relationships and drive sales growth in a designated territory.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities- Represent Baker Distributing Company as a leader in the industry, securing maximum market share and sales dollars consistent with established sales policies and programs.
- Solicit new accounts and dealers, developing market strategies to drive growth and expansion.
- Maintain direct personal contact with all assigned accounts, fostering relationships and resolving customer relations problems and issues in a timely manner.
- Take a proactive approach to sales development and problem-solving, utilizing strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with internal and external groups.
- Participate in home product shows, utility-sponsored events, industry associations, and training classes to stay up-to-date with technical developments and changes in product lines.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2-4 years sales experience within the HVAC industry, preferably with experience in the operations of a wholesale HVAC equipment supply house.
- Proven work history in sales and marketing, with proficiency in air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level.
- Strong analytical aptitude, with the ability to analyze and interpret data to drive sales growth and expansion.
- Excellent customer service mindset, with the ability to develop long-term relationships and drive sales growth.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external groups.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Proven success in sales, marketing, operations, and leadership roles, with a strong track record of driving sales growth and expansion.
- Valid driver's license.
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, with the ability to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.
- Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
