Responsibilities:
The Culinary Operations Supervisor is accountable for overseeing and ensuring the seamless operation of all kitchen shifts.

This role involves collaborating with the cafe management team to train, mentor, and assess back-of-house operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, specifications, and procedures.


Key Responsibilities of the Culinary Operations Supervisor include:
Conducting opening and closing procedures for the kitchen

Managing labor on a shift-by-shift basis to maintain a cost-effective balance for efficient cafe operations

Monitoring food costs using established methods to achieve financial goals

Assessing equipment conditions and performing routine maintenance checks to guarantee operational efficiency

Ensuring all assigned cleaning tasks are completed by staff before end of shift

Tasting and inspecting food to verify freshness, flavor, recipe adherence, and proper temperature (including line checks every shift)

Training new staff and coaching all employees to uphold Hard Rock's food quality and service standards

Validating new staff training in accordance with company standards

Performing shift expo duties to ensure food is prepared to specifications and served promptly

Carrying out employee tasks such as recipe preparation to ensure product quality

Maintaining a safe environment for both staff and guests, adhering to Hard Rock's safety protocols and checklists

Ensuring compliance with safety, sanitation, and security procedures among employees

Providing verbal recognition, guidance, and support to kitchen staff

Communicating with the kitchen team to keep everyone updated on local, regional, and corporate procedures

Listening to feedback from employees to address any concerns or suggestions with management

Collaborating with managers to evaluate work procedures, review standards, identify efficiency improvements, and proactively respond to emerging needs

Regularly communicating with the Kitchen Manager regarding issues and suggestions related to product, personnel, and performance

Completing all daily and weekly tasks according to assigned responsibilities

Qualifications:
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending and reaching

Capable of lifting and transporting containers, dish racks, and trashcans

Maintaining a well-groomed appearance

Adhering to uniform guidelines

Practicing all safety and sanitation standards

Recycling products when feasible

Remaining composed in a fast-paced environment

Exhibiting strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency

Displaying a positive and friendly demeanor towards guests and co-workers
