Conflicts Analyst Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Conflicts Analyst to join our international law firm client in their Washington, DC office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough conflict checks and analyze potential conflicts of interest for new business intake, matter opening, and new hires.
  • Provide ongoing support to departmental projects related to the conflicts process and new business intake.
  • Ensure timely and efficient processing of conflicts requests.
  • Collaborate with the wider Conflicts team to meet deadlines.
  • Assist in the training and development of other Conflicts Analysts.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the SRA and ABA rules relating to conflicts of interest and duties of confidentiality and disclosure.
  • Complete bi-annual audits of the conflicts system and update relevant firm records as necessary.
  • Manage data and maintain systems connected to the conflict checking process, including troubleshooting potential faults and liaising with vendors.
  • Participate in regular calls with the Conflicts team to discuss workflow, projects, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in conducting conflicts of interest checks and familiarity with SRA rules and ABA regulations at a law firm.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work under pressure and produce high-quality work.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong drive to achieve successful delivery and results.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
