Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Professional to join our team at Hawai'i Island Community Health Center. As a critical member of our Finance and Accounting Department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial data to support effective management and decision-making throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Transaction Management: Record and process financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure the organization's financial health and stability.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies, and identify and mitigate potential risks to the organization's financial well-being.
  • General Accounting Tasks: Perform day-to-day general accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Special Projects: Assist with special projects, including financial statement audits, budget preparation, and financial forecasting.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, and at least 4 years of related accounting experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and experience with Management Information Processing (MIP) or similar accounting software.
  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, and excellent attention to detail and time-management skills.
Working Conditions

The work environment is typically low to moderate noise level, and the employee will be required to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The employee will be expected to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
