Position Summary

This full-time, onsite role offers an excellent opportunity for those aspiring to build a career in Supply Chain Management. The successful candidate will oversee all procurement activities related to raw materials, supplies, and services. This includes ensuring the precise and timely processing of purchase requisitions, orders, and web transactions in accordance with company protocols. Additionally, the role involves providing support to the warehousing and logistics teams as needed. A flexible schedule is available, with potential start times as early as 7 AM. Compensation ranges from $20 to $23 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately processes purchase order requisitions in a timely manner, collaborating with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements.
  • Engages with vendors to place orders and track their status.
  • Works closely with the Logistics department to identify cost-effective shipping solutions.
  • Maintains the integrity of purchase orders and monitors delivery timelines for outstanding orders.
  • Ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) by obtaining necessary documentation, such as Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and equipment verification forms during vendor onboarding and product delivery.
  • Updates and maintains vendor records.
  • Collaborates with the Accounting department to resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Coordinates return authorizations as needed.
  • Assists in receiving and managing raw materials, supplies, and finished products, including local vendor pickups and deliveries.
  • Forklift training and TSA certification for airport deliveries will be provided.
  • Identifies opportunities for inventory control improvements and implements necessary adjustments in collaboration with Operations and Finance teams.
  • Works with the Operations team to ensure proper inventory organization and safety stock management.
  • Participates in monthly inventory reporting and validates variances in incoming and outgoing stock with the Operations team.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Supports the resolution and documentation of Material Control issues.
  • Reviews and updates Purchasing and Inventory Control Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as necessary.
  • Completes other assigned duties and projects as required.

Physical Requirements

The role may require prolonged periods of sitting at a computer and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

Work is primarily conducted in an office and warehouse setting, with outdoor tasks as necessary for inventory management.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Associate's Degree in business, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Prior experience in purchasing and inventory control within a manufacturing context is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, interacting effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up capabilities.
  • Ability to conduct online research for product procurement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
