Job Summary

As an HR Business Partner at GEICO, you will play a critical role in shaping and driving the execution of HR strategies that align with the company's evolving business strategy. This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence of 3-4 days per week at our offices in Chevy Chase, MD; Dallas, TX or Manhattan, NY.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide proactive HRBP support to assigned client groups in partnership with more senior HRBPs.
• Develop and maintain influential relationships with managers to drive talent outcomes that support business objectives.
• Lead project management and execution support for priorities/initiatives that cut across the company.
• Ensure effective partnerships with HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to solve problems and execute key deliverables, driving a "one HR" experience for internal clients.
• Own data/analytics reporting and insights that support key priorities and drive decision-making with our senior leaders.
• Respond to general employee relations inquiries and non-high-risk concerns and conduct limited scope inquiries into general ER issues/concerns as needed, in partnership with Employee Relations team.
• Escalate higher risk ER issues raised by managers or employees to Employee Relations or more senior team members.
• Serve as a resource and advise on general policy application and process/practice implementation.
• Support change management in a fast-paced environment with a focus on effective communication and engagement at all levels.
• Foster a climate of inclusion, integrating diverse thoughts to develop plans and solutions suited to evolving circumstances.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of Human Resources experience in roles of progressively increasing scope and/or exposure to various components of HR (recruiting, compensation, employee relations, performance management, talent development).
• Bachelor's degree, ideally in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, talent development and succession, compensation, human capital analytics, employee retention, or culture and engagement with a lens on diversity, equity & inclusion.
• Excellent communication, analytical and project management skills.
• Demonstrated track record of using data to provide insights that help business leaders make decisions.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in fast-paced environment, applying strong judgement and independent thinking to solve problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an HR Generalist/HRBP role.
• Experience in the insurance industry or other industries with critical operational functions and a strong focus on customer experience.
• Demonstrated track record of partnering with HR colleagues and internal clients within a matrixed, high-growth organization.
