Position Overview

In the role of Director of People Systems, you will collaborate with FiscalNote's leadership to architect, develop, implement, and oversee our human resources systems and processes. This includes our HRIS, ATS, LMS, Helpdesk, and Intranet. Your focus will be on identifying opportunities for enhancing current workflows and executing changes that yield positive outcomes for the People Team and all FiscalNote employees globally. You will be responsible for establishing metrics and analytics, integrations, processes, workflows, employee records, and reporting mechanisms.

Candidate Profile

You possess a strategic mindset, excel in a fast-paced environment, and are passionate about creating sustainable, scalable solutions in partnership with key stakeholders. Your analytical skills are robust, combining both quantitative and qualitative approaches, and you are eager to engage in hands-on work. You have a technical inclination and enjoy automating manual tasks through thoughtful process implementation and integrations. As a strong communicator and critical thinker, you are adept at problem-solving, metrics-driven, and highly organized.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and sustain all HR systems along with their associated workflows and integrations.
  • Assess existing processes and devise new ones related to employee lifecycle management, performance management, learning and development, time and attendance, among others.
  • Ensure compliance of systems and processes with all relevant security and compliance controls.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of HR technology trends and best practices to propose scalable technological solutions.
  • Provide guidance and thought leadership on HR processes with a focus on meeting business needs, identifying innovative solutions, and ensuring an optimal end-user experience.
  • Facilitate HR system adoption through thorough documentation and training sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with and manage all HR system vendor relationships.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards and reporting frameworks.
  • Act as a core member of the Systems and Information Governance Board overseeing all People-related data and systems.
  • Report directly to the SVP of People, with a dotted-line reporting structure to the Sr. Director of Enterprise IT.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience managing HR systems such as BambooHR, Lever, Workday, PeopleSoft, Kronos, and/or ADP in a global context.
  • Expertise in best practices, strategic delivery, and operational execution of HR systems solutions, business reporting, and analytics.
  • Experience in building and operationalizing HR programs from the ground up and redesigning effective HR programs and workflows for multiple stakeholders.
  • Basic knowledge of employment law, employee records management, records retention and protection, and compliance reporting, including familiarity with international employment requirements.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and enhancing management controls and operational processes for both internal and external needs.
  • A highly motivated and positive team player, hands-on and strategic, with a customer service orientation.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with a creative, collaborative, and flexible work approach, mission-focused, solutions-oriented, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
