In the role of Director of People Systems, you will collaborate with leadership at FiscalNote to architect, develop, implement, and oversee our human resources systems and processes. This includes, but is not limited to, our Human Resource Information System (HRIS), Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Learning Management System (LMS), Helpdesk, and Intranet. Candidate Profile

Your analytical skills are robust, combining both quantitative and qualitative approaches, and you are eager to engage in hands-on problem-solving. You have a technical inclination and enjoy automating manual processes through thoughtful implementation of workflows and integrations. As a strong communicator and critical thinker, you are metrics-oriented and exceptionally organized.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and sustain all HR systems along with their associated workflows and integrations.
- Assess existing processes and create new ones related to employee lifecycle management, performance management, learning and development, time tracking, and more.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant security and compliance controls within systems and processes.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of HR technology trends and best practices to propose scalable technology solutions.
- Provide guidance and thought leadership on HR processes, focusing on business needs, innovative solutions, and optimal user experiences.
- Facilitate HR system adoption through comprehensive documentation and training sessions.
- Collaborate closely with and manage all vendor relationships related to HR systems.
- Develop and maintain executive dashboards and reporting mechanisms.
- Act as a core member of the Systems and Information Governance Board, overseeing all People-related data and systems.
- Report directly to the Senior Vice President of People, with a dotted-line relationship to the Senior Director of Enterprise IT.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent education and experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience managing HR systems such as BambooHR, Lever, Workday, PeopleSoft, Kronos, or ADP in a global context.
- Expertise in best practices, strategic delivery, and operational execution of HR systems solutions, business reporting, and analytics.
- Experience in establishing and operationalizing HR programs from the ground up, as well as redesigning effective HR workflows for multiple stakeholders.
- Basic knowledge of employment law, employee records management, records retention, and compliance reporting, including familiarity with international employment regulations.
- Demonstrated success in developing and enhancing management controls and operational processes to meet internal and external requirements.
- A highly motivated and positive team player, with a hands-on approach and strategic mindset, focused on customer service.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with a creative, collaborative, and flexible work style, mission-driven, solutions-oriented, and a passion for continuous improvement.
