Job Title: Operations Manager

At Wesco International, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing multiple priorities in a customer-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of the location, including accurate on-time order fulfillment and shipping, on-time receiving, working capital management, inventory, and quality management systems.
  • Oversee the management of a location, which may include multiple warehouse management systems and/or multifaceted customer value-added services.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and inclusive workplace.
  • Manage, coach, mentor, hire, and train employees, including performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and audit standards, such as internal controls and ISO 9000.
  • Manage expense-based profit and loss statements to plan.
  • Drive efficiencies within the facility using LEAN methodologies.
  • Maintain facility tour-ready standards.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance of the facility and all equipment.
  • Match facility capacities to customer/sales professionals' expectations, working with sales professionals and leadership to ensure alignment with market strategy and accurately set customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with other support departments, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Human Resources, and Finance.
  • Develop annual budgets for the facility.
Qualifications:
  • High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years' operations experience, specifically in distribution center facilities preferred.
  • Experience managing a group or team of individual contributors and/or indirectly supervising support staff.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications, such as Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both group and individual settings.
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities with a high sense of urgency.
  • Ability to travel 0-25% of the time.
Working Environment:

Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment. The noise level is moderately quiet. Generally well-ventilated and well-lit. Warehouse employees may be exposed to all kinds of weather and may be required to wear protective clothing. Operates heavy equipment. Strict safety regulations may be required.
