Operations Manager Job Description

Fitness Connection is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our health club. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of Connection Specialists and Kids Club staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management & Leadership: Manage and supervise Connection Specialists, Kids' Club Associates, and subordinate management staff to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Operations Support: Ensure front desk operations adhere to company policies and procedures, manage front desk systems, and train staff in customer service excellence.
  • Retail Management: Manage retail and concession sales, set sales goals for Connection Specialists, and conduct inventory controls.
  • HR/Payroll and Administrative Duties: Hire, train, and supervise staff, ensure payroll is submitted on time, and manage employee performance.

Requirements:

  • Positive attitude and ability to motivate staff.
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of cash handling procedures and basic financial management.
  • Proficiency in front desk software systems and adaptability to new technologies.
  • Physical ability to work long hours and handle up to 45 pounds.
  • Minimum one year experience at front desk or related industry experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required; management experience in hospitality/retail is a plus.
  • CPR and AED certification required.
