PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Refugee Assistance & Immigration Services (RAIS) program serves as a vital link for refugees and new arrivals, helping them transition from their past experiences to the new skills necessary for success in the United States. By emphasizing economic self-sufficiency, community integration, and respect for diverse cultures, RAIS fosters an environment of compassion and support for refugees to thrive.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct assessments to identify clients' employment needs and assist them in establishing career goals.

Support clients in executing their employment strategies, including connecting them with resources for skill development and transportation.

Educate clients on effective job search techniques, including application processes.

Prepare clients for interviews through guidance and practice sessions.

Monitor the progress of employed clients and facilitate positive employer-client interactions.

Engage with new employers and maintain existing relationships to enhance program effectiveness.

Design and deliver educational programs to develop job skills and provide orientation to the U.S. workforce.

Document all client interactions and related activities accurately and promptly.

Stay updated on program policies, procedures, and community resources.

Assist in crisis situations as needed, coordinating with emergency services when appropriate.

Maintain client confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Experience Requirement: One year of experience in a case management role or similar, preferably with refugees.

A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Physical demands include working in a standard office setting with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds and extended periods of sitting or standing.

Frequent travel within the local area is required.
