Position Overview:

EnTech is in search of a full-time, driven Civil Engineer to assist with our expanding projects and services. We offer a broad spectrum of Civil Engineering services, including transportation, grading and drainage, stormwater management, utility design and relocation, and site development. The position encompasses a variety of engineering responsibilities, applying civil engineering principles across diverse project types and client groups. The ideal candidate is self-driven, possesses a solid technical foundation, and is eager to broaden their experience while applying their skills throughout the complete project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering civil engineering planning and design services for transportation, drainage, grading, erosion/sediment control, stormwater management, and utilities (such as water, sewer, and storm drain).
  • Offering technical expertise and insights from the preliminary to the final design phase.
  • Preparing design reports, cost estimates, specifications, cross sections/profiles, and final contract drawings.
  • Assisting with engineering services during the construction phase.
  • Collaborating with the design team to ensure quality deliverables are met within the established schedule and budget.
  • Engaging in site visits, field investigations, and meetings with project team members and clients.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam certification.
  • Professional Engineer License in NY.
  • Experience in erosion and sediment control as well as stormwater management.
  • Proficiency in utilities, civil drainage, and sitework design.
  • Familiarity with utility design and coordination in urban settings is a plus.
  • Experience with municipal clients and agencies in the NY metropolitan area is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of roadway horizontal, vertical, and cross-section development.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
  • Strong skills in technical writing, analytical thinking, and both oral and written communication.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality work.
Estimated Annual Compensation:
$90,000 - $130,000
