We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to contribute to multi-disciplinary design initiatives on a full-time basis. This role will involve leading a range of public and private site development projects and collaborating with various municipal clients across different sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee multiple projects and tasks, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets for successful project completion. Maintain regular communication with clients. Develop proposals for both new and existing clients, including project fee estimations. Supervise the creation of Land Development Plans, which encompasses the preparation of engineering design drawings, technical specifications, and engineering reports from initial design through to construction. Facilitate the permitting process through regulatory agencies for large-scale, complex projects. Assign tasks to Junior Engineers and Drafters, providing mentorship and guidance in developing Stormwater Management strategies, Utility Coordination, and Erosion & Sediment Control Design. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in engineering, preferably with a focus on Land Development design projects. Professional Engineer (PE) license in NJ, or the ability to obtain it within six months of employment.Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications such as Certified Municipal Engineer (CME), Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM), or Professional Planner (PP) are advantageous. Experience in management or project management, with a proven track record of overseeing multi-disciplinary projects. Advanced skills in site design functions, including site layout, grading, utility design, stormwater management, and municipal regulatory approvals. Familiarity with stormwater management practices, particularly using Hydrology and Hydraulics modeling tools. Proficiency in engineering software tools, including CADD and project management applications; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus. Competence in standard office software applications, including Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with Bluebeam Revu is a plus. Ability to understand the broader project objectives while coordinating various design disciplines. Demonstrated reliability with consistent attendance. Proven capability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment while also being able to work independently.
