Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site consultation and support to medical professionals and operating room staff, ensuring optimal utilization of IGS products during surgical procedures.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and troubleshooting of product issues, leveraging engineering expertise to resolve challenges effectively.
  • Assist Radiology personnel in executing necessary imaging procedures prior to surgical interventions.
  • Deliver training and educational sessions for physicians and hospital staff on the operation of IGS products and services.
  • Design and implement training programs to empower hospital staff to conduct in-house training sessions.
  • Act as the primary liaison for customers, maintaining ongoing communication to assess satisfaction and identify opportunities for revenue growth through product upgrades and spare parts sales.
  • Collaborate closely with senior consultants and account managers on market initiatives and research and development projects.
  • Utilize engineering insights to recommend enhancements to product quality and functionality.
  • Participate in industry meetings and trade shows to showcase and advocate for IGS products and services.
  • Stay informed about advancements in Brainlab technologies and competitor offerings through continuous learning and research.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the technical support process by adhering to established quality and efficiency standards.
  • Support on-site network troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
  • Execute advanced technical troubleshooting, including audio, video, control, and network signal analysis to resolve complex system issues.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with server, network, or virtualization infrastructure in an enterprise setting.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, time-sensitive tasks effectively in high-pressure environments with minimal supervision.
  • Strong technical acumen in analog and digital electronic technologies relevant to audio-visual systems, including video conferencing solutions.
  • Familiarity with DICOM, HL7, and EMH/EHR workflows is advantageous.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a technical support capacity, preferably within the healthcare sector.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other PC software applications.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of making independent decisions.
