Position Overview

The Sales Associate plays a crucial role in promoting and selling vehicles while achieving dealership profit, volume, and customer satisfaction targets. This role encompasses several key responsibilities: personal work habits, prospecting, selling, and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recognize that customer satisfaction is the foundation of our business and commit to ensuring customer happiness.
  • Assess each customer's vehicle requirements through effective questioning and attentive listening.
  • Showcase vehicles, including conducting test drives.
  • Facilitate vehicle deliveries, ensuring customers are well-informed about the vehicle's features, warranty, and necessary documentation, fostering long-term loyalty.
  • Set personal income objectives aligned with dealership productivity standards and develop strategies to achieve them.
  • Report to the Sales Manager regarding goals, planned activities, and performance evaluations.
  • Stay informed about incoming inventory, features, and accessories, and their benefits to customers.
  • Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely and quality vehicle reconditioning.
  • Participate in sales meetings and training sessions provided by the dealership and manufacturers.
  • Maintain a systematic approach to prospect development.
  • Implement a follow-up system for owners to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Review and evaluate daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly performance to optimize time management and planning.
  • Understand automotive terminology and keep updated on technological advancements in the industry.
  • Comprehend equity and values, and be able to explain depreciation to customers.
  • Be knowledgeable about federal, state, and local regulations governing retail automotive sales.
  • Introduce customers to service department staff to highlight the quality and efficiency of available services.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, reporting any incidents to management immediately.
Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and information.
  • Valid driver's license for the state of employment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proven ability to meet sales quotas as per dealership standards.
  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA.
  • Must perform all duties safely and responsibly.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment assessments including background checks, motor vehicle records, drug tests, and credit reports.
