- Research and resolve issues and requests in a timely manner, including direct interactions with clients, vendors, and associates.
- Conduct reviews and provide guidance on compliance-related matters, offering ongoing technical and consulting services to clients.
- Interface with clients, vendors, and associates to solve problems and answer questions related to employee benefit programs.
- Participate in client and prospect meetings, leading meetings with guidance and assisting in preparing materials and collateral.
- Record and report meeting discussions and action items, ensuring seamless communication and follow-up.
- Oversee new vendor and carrier implementations, meeting with carriers independently as required for renewal management and enrollment process facilitation.
- Maintain regular contact with carrier and vendor representatives to ensure client advocacy and timely issue resolution.
- Train clients on technology and resources available, working with them to develop short- and long-term employee communication objectives.
- Create member-facing collateral pieces to promote and clarify benefit program features, leading in-person, virtual, and telephonic sessions to provide information and plan details to participants.
- Mentor and train other Account Managers, actively participating in client service team operations and effectively communicating client updates to team members.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent job experience.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience.
- Attainment and maintenance of state life and health license in accordance with IMA standards.
- Proficiency with MS Office (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Ability to work in agency/client management systems and other related software and technology platforms.
- Ability to effectively work independently, with excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to articulate ideas and information clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Ability to present information in a group setting (in person and virtually).
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects with variable deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Possesses a high degree of diplomacy and tact while maintaining confidentiality.
