CesiumAstro: Lead Mechanical Engineer

CesiumAstro stands at the forefront of communication technology for aerospace and space applications. We are seeking a dedicated and innovative professional to become a vital member of our Mechanical Engineering division as a Lead Mechanical Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop mechanical designs for phased array antennas, associated subsystems, and their interfaces.
  • Perform architectural evaluations and trade studies.
  • Prepare materials for engineering design reviews.
  • Engage in proposal development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering for space antennas and payloads.
  • Expertise in professional mechanical design and FEA CAD software.
  • Familiarity with advanced aerospace manufacturing techniques and materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and C++.
  • Experience with large deployable antenna systems.
  • Background in robotics and control systems.
  • Experience with printed circuit board assembly (PCBA).
