Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning and development of engineered contract documentation for assigned projects, acting as a Project Manager to ensure timely completion, providing engineering insights, and collaborating with a diverse team of engineers, architects, and clients.
  • Manage multiple projects, including the scheduling of work, allocation of resources, and coordination of information to achieve project goals and adhere to construction timelines. Develop comprehensive mechanical and plumbing project documentation, including plans, specifications, design analyses, and cost estimates for effective and reliable system designs.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations as needed to gather existing condition data, participate in meetings, address construction inquiries, and document site observations. Engage in construction activities as required, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, resolving construction challenges, and coordinating field installations to meet project deadlines and quality standards while maintaining ethical practices.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Mentor and guide junior mechanical designers and engineers to enhance their skills and professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Must hold a Professional Engineer license in Texas or possess the capability to obtain licensure through NCEES in Texas and other states.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically within Federal Sector projects.
  • Proficient in using energy modeling tools such as Trane Trace 700 or similar.
  • Experience with large central plants is advantageous.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Design-build experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with USACE and GSA clients is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale projects effectively.
