Job Overview

Hourly Rate: $28.00. Based on experience.

The Production Operations Coordinator will leverage their expertise in Excel and technology to maintain precise records and facilitate effective communication with department supervisors and production leaders, ensuring seamless and efficient manufacturing workflows. This role involves organizing schedules and managing the flow of work within or across various organizational units or businesses. The individual will be accountable for reviewing the master schedule and work orders, setting priorities, and adjusting schedules based on project requirements, work order details, and the availability or capability of personnel, materials, machinery, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and document production challenges and missing components across multiple assembly lines.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on production status, challenges, and component shortages.
  • Ensure that documentation is accurate, current, and accessible to relevant personnel.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the production floor and department supervisors.
  • Effectively communicate with production leaders to address and resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Provide updates on production delays, component shortages, and other pertinent information to the appropriate departments.
  • Distribute work orders indicating quantity, type, and expected completion dates.
  • Reorganize identical processes to eliminate redundant setups.
  • Consult with supervisors to assess work progress and relay information on changes in processing methods from engineering departments.
  • Utilize computer systems to monitor schedules, track work progress, and locate production units.
  • Employ Excel to create and maintain spreadsheets for tracking production challenges and components.
  • Prepare general reports and graphs to visualize production data.
  • Use computer systems to input data, update records, and manage accurate production documentation.
  • Operate tools and equipment safely.
  • Report any safety concerns immediately to management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in a production or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with ERP, MRP, Excel, and planning is required.
