Job Summary

The Operations/Maintenance Coordinator role at THE NEW-INDY GROUP will provide leadership and support to the Operations Managers and shift supervisors to ensure the continuity of the Fiberline and Chemical operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work Order Prioritization: Reviews work order priorities, including emergency and break-in work orders, based on knowledge of product demand, management direction, and operational expectations.
  • Maintenance Work Approval: Approves or rejects all maintenance work requests.
  • Job Assignment: Determines jobs that can and should be handled by operations.
  • Maintenance Work Coordination: Coordinates maintenance work execution between operations and maintenance.
  • Equipment Shutdown: Determines whether jobs require an equipment shutdown.
  • Schedule Adjustments: Adjusts priorities of scheduled work-in-progress to execute emergency or break-in work.
  • Housekeeping Coordination: Coordinates required housekeeping for maintenance work.
  • Lockout and Tag-out Coordination: Coordinates lockouts and tag-outs of equipment for maintenance work.
  • Permit Coordination: Coordinates required permits for confined space entry and hot work.
  • Communication: Communicates directly with maintenance in the planning of work in the backlog that is not ready to be scheduled and with maintenance supervision, team leaders, and crafts in the scheduling of work that has been planned and is ready to be scheduled.
Requirements
  • Education: Must have a high school diploma.
  • Experience: Must have 2-3 years of experience in operations Maintenance or a related field.
