Patient Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Patient Service Representative to join our team at Highline Physical Therapy. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure a smooth and positive experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and welcome patients with professionalism and warmth, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient inquiries both in person and over the phone, utilizing strong communication skills to address patient concerns.
- Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and necessary documentation accurately, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients and staff.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience, providing timely and effective communication.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Proven experience in a customer service role; healthcare setting preferred.
- Proficiency in using office software and scheduling systems, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient information and documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer and paperwork.
- Ability to use a computer keyboard and perform tasks requiring dexterity.
- Clear vision for reading and analyzing documents.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Occasional movement within the office environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Proven experience in a customer service role; healthcare setting preferred.
