Patient Account Representative Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Account Representative to join our team at Providence Health & Services. As a Patient Account Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of patient account management, while providing exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, research, and update patient accounts to reconcile and maximize reimbursement.
  • Respond to patient, insurance, and correspondence inquiries, resolving questions in a timely manner.
  • Act as a liaison between Patient Accounts and physician offices, insurance carriers, and other third-party payers to assist with questions and resolve unpaid accounts.
  • Adjust accounts based on patient/account status, following established guidelines.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of functional experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel).
  • Preferred qualifications include an Associate's Degree in a business-related field, CRCR Certification, and 1 year of experience in physician/hospital billing or other healthcare business settings.
