About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Powertrain Calibration Engineer to join our team at Ford Motor Company. As a key member of our Product Development team, you will play a critical role in delivering breakthrough products and services that delight our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and calibrate leading-edge aftertreatment technologies for PM, NOx, HC, and CO reduction for gasoline powertrains to meet global emissions and OBD requirements.
  • Evaluate and assess vehicle attributes (performance, fuel economy, emissions, diagnostics, NVH) on vehicles and in engine dynamometer test cells.
  • Modify powertrain control calibrations to improve fuel economy, performance, emissions, and diagnostics.
  • Design and conduct tests to validate engine and vehicle fuel economy, performance, emissions, and diagnostics.
  • Conduct vehicle testing and development at remote locations in Arizona, Colorado, and Northern Canada.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Powertrain Calibration.
  • 1+ years' experience with one or more of the following software tools: ETAS, ATI, or MATLAB.
