**Position Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled Casting Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Zobility, a leading workforce management and staffing division of RGBSI. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the development and launch of next-generation Powertrain castings.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Development and Suppliers to successfully develop and launch complex castings.
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement casting manufacturing processes and drive change in a dynamic environment.
- Apply knowledge of casting alloys and processes, including gravity, low-pressure, and high-pressure die casting.
- Develop and implement core making processes and materials.
- Drive design and processing of Powertrain castings in future products.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience with aluminum casting processes used to produce various automotive components.
- Working level knowledge of casting, post-processing, and die development processes.
- Knowledge of secondary operations associated with castings, including trimming, fettling, deburring, and quality checks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to present, persuade, and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Foundry operational experience in casting manufacturing processes and process control.
- Proven track record of delivering major product launches in an automotive manufacturing facility.
- Ability to work in a production setting and aid in troubleshooting of supplier equipment and processes.
