Job Summary

The Practice Administrator will provide leadership, direction, and daily operations management of the practice(s) at Cibola General Hospital. This role involves allocating and assigning duties to employees, monitoring activities and operations, and ensuring the practice meets its objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Direction
  • Align with Cibola General Hospital's mission, vision, and values, and advocate for an inclusive culture.
Operations Management
  • Oversee routine business and clinical functions through administrative and clinical staff, ensuring maximum resource utilization and efficient service delivery.
  • Direct and manage family and specialty practice(s), including monitoring patient flow, registration, and data entry.
  • Develop special workload reports to adjust staffing levels as necessary.
  • Review and handle patient complaints.
  • Review charges, visit encounters, and cash receipts for variations and patterns.
  • Conduct spot audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Review lab and x-ray service utilization, physician charges, and coding accuracy.
  • Provide physician and staff training as required.
  • Conduct patient and staff surveys and questionnaires.
  • Analyze average patient waiting time.
  • Identify practice/business development opportunities to increase market share.
Supervision and Communication
  • Supervise Clinic Front Office Supervisor, MA Clinic Supervisor, and Patient Care Population Health Supervisor.
  • Interact with physicians bi-weekly to ensure practice business needs are met, resolve medical/administrative problems, and maintain open communication.
Financial Management
  • Develop, implement, and monitor annual practice(s) budget(s), analyzing financial impact and forecasting revenue/expenditures.
  • Recommend corrective action as required.
Strategic Planning
  • Develop cost/benefit analyses of new patient care services and equipment to maximize patient revenues.
  • Recommend implementation/purchase of new services/equipment.
  • Meet monthly and quarterly with physicians to review financial performance and key practice indicators.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with the assistance of the Compliance Officer and VP of Human Resources.
Employee Development
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide guidance and feedback with feedback from the VP of Human Resources.
  • Coach, mentor, counsel, discipline, and/or recommend termination of employees as required.
  • Recommend professional development for staff.
Communication and Collaboration
  • Develop and maintain effective communications between all levels of personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with and knowledge of the hospital's Code of Conduct by all subordinates.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience.
  2. Minimum five years' work experience in a healthcare setting.
  3. Seven to ten years direct supervisory experience in a similar setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Master's Degree.
  2. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
