Your Role in Making a Difference

As a Medical Director, you will be tasked with overseeing medical operations and providing guidance in alignment with company security protocols and institutional regulations. You will ensure that necessary documentation is submitted to the appropriate Medical Director or designee to facilitate monitoring of services and compliance with contracts. Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating any changes in coverage schedules and assisting in arranging medical service coverage during extended absences.

Core Responsibilities


• Provide clinical leadership for the facility's medical program, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures for admissions, transfers, and referrals.

• Supervise the care provided by other staff and offer consultation to all professionals within the system.

• Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator to identify challenges and propose solutions aimed at enhancing patient outcomes, including the establishment and maintenance of Chronic Care Clinics.

• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with established therapeutic regimens, while also providing emergency care on-site and responding effectively in urgent situations.

• Act as a liaison with community healthcare providers, consult with medical specialists, and review and approve treatment protocols and clinical policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school.

Experience

  • Preferred experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Public Health.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Must possess and maintain current licensure in the state of employment.
  • Must maintain a current DEA registration.
  • Must be able to obtain and sustain CPR certification.
  • Must maintain privileges and fulfill CME requirements for ongoing medical practice in the state.
