Your Impact

As a Medical Director, you will oversee medical operations and provide guidance in line with company security protocols and institutional regulations. You will ensure that necessary documentation is submitted to the appropriate Medical Director or designee to facilitate service monitoring and compliance with contracts. Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating any changes in schedule coverage and assisting in arranging medical service coverage when unavailable for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities


• Provide clinical leadership to the facility's medical program, following established policies for admissions, transfers, and referrals.

• Supervise care provided by staff and offer consultation to all professionals within the system.

• Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator to identify challenges and propose solutions to enhance patient outcomes, including the establishment of Chronic Care Clinics.

• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with therapeutic regimens, while also providing emergency care on-site and responding effectively in urgent situations.

• Act as a liaison with community healthcare providers, consult with medical specialists, and review and approve treatment protocols and clinical policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school.

Experience

  • Preferred experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Public Health.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Must hold and maintain current licensure in the state of employment.
  • Must maintain a current DEA registration.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
  • Must uphold privileges and meet CME requirements for ongoing medical practice in the state.
