Job Title: Director of Finance

Job Summary:

The Director of Finance will oversee the financial operations of Hunter International Recruiting, ensuring accurate financial records and reports. This individual will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to manage the accounting department, perform annual reviews, and support the Firm's strategic planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Manage the accounting department, perform annual reviews, and continually work with managers for individual growth and development.
  • Financial Analysis: Assist the CEO, COO, and the Firm's Board of Directors with financial analytics.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly reports for Office Partner Meetings, Area Chairs, and Admin team.
  • Financial Planning: Coordinate yearly Firm audit and tax preparation, budget preparation, review, input, and analysis.
  • Financial Operations: Coordinate quarterly budget meetings, oversee monthly GL reconciliations, and update plan to spread and other monthly spreadsheets.
  • Financial Administration: Supervise A/P invoice and expense reporting processes, approve NBI forms for Firm, and approve compensation reports for Contract Attorneys.
  • Financial Compliance: Prepare amortization schedules for clients and attorneys, oversee and approve wire transfers, ACH, and stop payments, and administer banking and credit card portals.
  • Financial Governance: Prepare quarterly covenant information, oversee wire transfers into the Operating and Trust accounts, and manage the Finance Committee.
  • Financial Support: Act as backup to the COO and all managers in the department, assist with accounting questions and issues.

Requirements:

  • B.S. or B.A. in accounting or finance.
  • Certified Public Accounting is desirable.
  • Minimum five years of experience with at least three years of manager or supervisory experience. Law firm experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated initiative, self-motivation, and management skills.
  • Proficiency in the Firm's software and hardware including 3E, Chrome River, Excel, Word, 10-Key by touch, and Outlook.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; demonstrate clear and concise knowledge of business English in all written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints; strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates responsiveness, tact, diplomacy, good judgment, and confidentiality in communications with all levels of personnel, clients, and outside vendors.
  • Strong commitment to the Accounting Department as a customer service function within the Firm, and ability to operate effectively and cooperatively within the Accounting Department to enable the department to function cohesively and to provide excellent customer service within the Firm.
