Position Overview

CivicMinds, Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with a minimum of 15 years in the road construction sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with general contractors, municipalities, and engineering firms to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders to facilitate project activities.
  • Provide oversight and direction to Project Managers and field staff, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Collaborate with superintendents and foremen to effectively plan and organize construction activities.
  • Define project objectives, policies, and performance standards in accordance with company policies and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion within budgetary constraints.
  • Address potential issues proactively and implement corrective actions to meet project requirements.
  • Represent the company in project meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts in collaboration with contract administrators to safeguard company interests.
  • Procure necessary materials and supplies for project completion.
  • Communicate plans and contract terms clearly to administrative and field staff as well as clients.
  • Maintain updated job reports detailing work progress, costs, and scheduling.
  • Assign workers to construction sites in coordination with field staff.
  • Develop and nurture relationships within the subcontractor community.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of asphalt, earthmoving, and concrete operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and lead several project managers effectively.
  • Experience in overseeing pre-construction responsibilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of punctuality.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities and follow-up skills.
  • Professional demeanor and polished communication style.
