About the Role

SJS Executives, LLC, a leading Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer and Project Manager to join our team.

This is a full-time position that will support a Veterans Affairs Hospital during their construction/renovation phase in Oklahoma City. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects, maintaining high standards of quality, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Constructability Review: Conduct thorough reviews of design documents to ensure code compliance and constructability, including Non-Routine Maintenance (NRM) construction, in-house funded and leased designs, and submittals.
  • Procurement Package Development: Develop procurement packages for maintenance services, NRM projects, and maintenance agreements, including Statements of Work (SOW), Cost Estimates, and General Requirements.
  • Problem-Solving and Planning: Develop plans and solutions to identified problem areas by collaborating with engineering, medical, and support staff, reviewing existing facilities documents, and assisting in planning future projects.
  • Quality Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop a program for systematic monitoring and evaluation of projects to ensure that standards of quality are being met, incorporating quality requirements for materials and workmanship into construction projects.
  • Compliance and Adherence: Ensure adherence to applicable station rules and requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited Engineering program or Engineering Technology program, with a preference for Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Registration: Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred but not required.
  • Experience: 4 or more years of systems design experience, including at least 1 year working on Capital Improvement projects for a Federal Agency.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare correspondence, written reports, and brief management personnel.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Have knowledge of construction scheduling methods, building and construction crafts, and industry standards of workmanship.
  • Certifications and Background Check: Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a thorough background check for access onto a military installation.
