Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team at the Cornell University Hospital for Animals. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our clinicians and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to veterinarians and students during medical procedures and exams
  • Assist with patient care and handling, including restraint and anesthesia
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and procedures, such as blood draws and urinalyses
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in a veterinary setting, preferably in a teaching hospital
  • New York State licensure or eligibility to become licensed
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
